Julissa Almonte, LCSW, MT-BC, RYT-200

Julissa Almonte is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Board Certified Music Therapist, and a yoga teacher. She uses multiple creative modalities to provide a positive experience for her clients including mindfulness, yoga, story-telling, movement, breath work, somatic psychotherapy, and writing to name a few. Julissa is currently enrolled in a body centered psychotherapy program, using the wisdom of the body to heal beyond talk therapy.

Julissa is particularly interested in cross-cultural/multicultural psychology and currently enjoys working with identity related issues, specifically those who identify as BIPOC LGBTQ+ . Her goal is to help you create your best life. Julissa also enjoys providing clinical supervision for professionals seeking licensure and clinicians who need more support.

During sessions, Julissa devises a plan with you and sets real short-term and long-term goals. As an experienced therapist, she will work with you to develop new patterns of thinking and relating to yourself and others using cognitive-behavioral, expressive, creative, and dialectical techniques.
